chiarraigrrl’s Stack
March 7, 2010
After almost a year, another stack for the blog. Thanks to chiarraigrrl for getting the ball rolling again

The Elegance of the Hedgehog (Muriel Barbery)
About 200 pages into this one just reading it in a few spare minutes here and there, and absolutely love it- beautifully written, often very funny and thought-provoking.
Juliet, Naked (Nick Hornby)
I love just about everything Nick Hornby’s written – and when I find a writer I like, I buy everything they’ve done. Looking forward to getting into this one.
Selected Works of Virginia Woolf
My brother bought me this for Christmas. My brother is awesome.

From the stack of le craic
Mavericks at work (William C. Taylor and Polly Labarre)
I read a quite a lot of these business type books. This one I picked up at random because the cover stood out on the shelf. Have read the introduction and first chapter.
The Road (Cormac McCarthy)
Recommended via a Tweet on Twitter. Hadn’t heard of it before then. I’m about 30 pages but I think I will need to start over as it’s a couple of weeks since I read those 30 pages.
The Graveyard Book (Neil Gaiman)
Haven’t read any of Gaiman’s book before. In a way I’m jumping on the bandwagon after it won the Newbery award. Haven’t read any of it yet – bought it 3 weeks ago.
